Memorial website in the memory of your loved one
Virginia Estelle Turpin-Michek (Ginni), 42, of Newport News went home to be with Jesus and her mother Ruth Jean Turpin on Friday, April 8th 2005 after a courageous 10 year battle with breast cancer. She was a native of Newport News, and had been a resident of Killeen TX, before returning to Newport News in 2003.

She was a graduate of Warwick High School and Central Texas College.

Ginni loved life, her family, her church family and friends. She never took one day nor one obstacle for granted...she considered them all a gift and a learning experience from the Lord.

Surviving are her three precious children, PFC Edward Christopher
Michek stationed in Korea; Katelyn Elizabeth Ruth Michek of Newport News and Tyler Jesse Michek of Newport News. Ginni also leaves behind her beloved maternal grandparents Henry and Estelle Huey of Newport News; sisters Karen West and Ruth Elston both of Newport News, brothers Kenneth Edward Turpin and Wayne Eugene Turpin of Newport News; Aunt Joan Elizabeth Specht of Williamsburg plus several more family members.

Ginni is buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Newport News...close to her beloved mother Ruth Jean Turpin.
